XTal Tester

Circuit diagram   This is a simple XTal tester circuit. T1 and XTal have formed an oscillator. C1 and C2 are voltage divider for oscillator. if the XTal is safe, the oscillator will work well and its output voltage will be rectified by C3, C4, D1 and D2, then T2 will run and LED will light. The circuit is suitable to test 100KHz - 30MHz Xtal. Author : 303 circuits, Elektor Electronics Source : http://www.electronics-lab.com

ZENER DIODE TESTER CIRCUIT USING NE555

Simple Wire Continuity Tester by LM709

While detecting discontinuities on a circuit board, it is probable to include resistors, semiconductors or other elements in measurements. This situation may cause wrong results. On the other hand sometimes the voltage or current of the multimeter may defect some circuit components. Our circuit overcomes this inconvenient conditions. The circuit determines greater than 1 ohm values as discontinuity. Measure voltage is not more than 2mV. So no kind of diode, IC or other component is bypassed. Maximum current output of the circuit is about 200uA. Simple Wire Continuity Tester by LM709   Indicator of the circuit is a LED. Voltage supply may be two 9 Volt batteries. Voltage adjustment of the amplifier is done by P1 potentiometer. To do this process, first short circuit the probes and then turn P1 until LED brights. When you separate the probes again LED will fade out. This is a cheap and very useful circuit. You can build it on a PCB to use more easily.

Simple Remote Control Tester Circuit Diagram

How to Check if a Remote Control is Transmitting an Infrared Signal. Many households have 5 or 6 remote controls laying around the house. This is the simple Remote control tester circuit diagram. When the remote control is not working, first check the battery before, It may be loss.If it is good,so detect transmit infrared light device. However, because the human eye can not see infrared light,so can not know how good or bad.But the photo transistor can use to detect infrared light.  This circuit so use this photo transistor is the light receiver from the remote control. If it is nice to have the bias current of the transistor BC558.It runs a current flows through the LED,so the LED bright. The remote control that works correctly. The variable resistor VR1 is used to adjust the sensitivity of the circuit.  Remote control tester circuit diagram

Simple IC 555 Timer Tester Circuit Diagram

This is a Simple IC 555 Timer Tester Circuit Diagram . This simple and easy-to-use gadget not only tests the IC 555 timer in all its basic configurations but also tests the functionality of each pin of the timer. Once a timer is declared fit by this gadget, it will function satisfactorily in whatever mode or configuration you may try it. The two basic configurations in which a timer IC 555 can be used are the astable and the monostable modes of operation.  When the DPDT switch (S2) is in position 1-1, the timer under test automatically gets wired as a monostable multivibrator. In this case, the monoshot can be triggered by the microswitch (S1). The debouncing circuit constituted by the two NAND gates of IC1 (N1 and N2) produces a clean rectangular pulse when the microswitch is pressed. Resistor R3, capacitor C1 and diode D1 ensure that the trigger terminal of timer IC 555 (pin 2 is the trigger terminal) gets the desired positive-to-ground trigger pulse.
