Temperature Sensor Circuit Diagram

The LM35 temperature sensor provides an output of 10 mV/C for every degree Celsius over 0C. At 20C the output voltage is 20 10 = 200 mV. The circuit consumes 00. The load resistance should not be less than 5 kQ. A 4- to 20-V supply can be used. Temperature Sensor Circuit Diagram

Petrol Diesel Level Sensor

This sensor is particularly suitable for use in small spaces, such as the petrol tank of a  motorbike. It has the advantage of not having any moving parts, unlike a conventional sensor with a float and float arm that make it difficult to fit in a tank. The sensor circuit is made from standard, inexpensive components and can be put together for little money. Petrol/Diesel Level Sensor Circuit Diagram : The operating principle is  based on  measuring  the forward volt-ages of two identical diodes (check this  first by measuring  them).  The forward voltage of a diode decreases with increasing junction temperature. lf a resistor is placed close to one of the two diodes, it will be heated slightly if it extends above the surface of the  petrol. For best results, the other diode (used for reference) should be located at the same level. lf the diodes are covered by the petrol in the tank, the heating resistor will not have any effect because it will be cooled by the petrol. An opamp comp...

Fog Lamp Sensor Circuit Diagram

Fog Lamp Sensor Circuit diagram . For several years now, a rear fog lamp has been mandatory for trailers and caravans in order to improve visibility under foggy conditions. Fog Lamp Sensor Circuit diagram : Fog Lamp Sensor Circuit Diagram When this fog lamp is switched on, the fog lamp of the pulling vehicle must be switched off to avoid irritating reflections. For this purpose, a mechanical switch is now built into the 13-way female connector in order to switch off the fog lamp of the pulling vehicle and switch on the fog lamp of the trailer or caravan. For anyone who uses a 7-way connector, this switching can also be implemented electronically with the aid of the circuit illustrated here. Here a type P521 optocoupler detects whether the fog lamp of the caravan or trailer is connected. If the fog lamp is switched on in the car, a current flows through the caravan fog lamp via diodes D1 and D2. This causes the LED in the optocoupler to light up, with the result that the phototransisto...

LED Photo sensor Circuit Diagram

LED Photo sensor Circuit Diagram. It is not always necessary to use special photoresistors or phototransistors to make light-sensitive switches. Although it is not well known, normal visible-light and infrared LEDs will also work. A voltage that depends on the intensity of the natural or artificial illumination falling on the LED can be taken from the anode of the LED. This behaviour can be easily verified by connecting a DVM or oscilloscope directly to the two leads of the LED. LED Photo sensor Circuit Diagram: LED Photosensor Circuit Diagram Since the load on the photoelectric potential should be kept as small as possible, a JFET is used here as a buffer. The type used is not critical; similar transistors should work equally well. The buffered voltage is fed to the inverting input of comparator IC1. The threshold voltage can be adjusted to meet the desires of the user by means of the potentiometer. A pull-up resistor is connected to the com-parator output, since the LM393 has an open...

Tiny Dew Sensor Circuit Diagram

Tiny Dew Sensor Circuit Diagram (condensed moisture) adversely affects the normal performance of sensitive electronic devices. A low-cost circuit described here can be used to switch off any gadget automatically in case of excessive humidity. At the heart of the circuit is an inexpensive (resistor type) dew sensor element. Although dew sensor elements are widely used in video cassette players and recorders, these may not be easily available in local market. However, the same can be procured from authorized service cent res of reputed companies. The author used the dew sensor for FUNAI VCP model No. V.I.P. 3000A (Part No: 6808-08-04, reference no. 336) in his prototype. In practice, it is observed that all dew sensors available for video application possess the same electrical characteristics irrespective of their physical shape/size, and hence are interchangeable and can be used in this project. The circuit is basically a switching type circuit made with the help of a popular dual...

Simple Heat Sensor Circuit Diagram

This simple heat sensor circuit could senses heat from various electronics device like computer, amplifier etc. and generate warning alarm. It could senses heat from environment also, but here I mention “electronics device” because it is being using mostly in electronic device to protect them from overheat. Thermistor, 110 Ohms: Fig-2: 110 Ohms Thermistor As it is a heat sensor circuit , here a thermistor is used as a heat sensor . It is a thermal measurement device and has a variety of usages including temperature sensor/ heat sensor . The thermistor used in this circuit is a NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) type thermistor. When temperature increases, its resistance goes decrease. Therefore, NTC thermistor’s resistances are inverse of temperature. Circuit Description: You have seen, in this simple circuit diagram of heat sensor, a few number of components is used including a BC548 transistor, a 110 ohms thermistor etc. BC548 : BC548 is a TO-92 type NPN transistor , as its alte...

Temperature Sensor Arduino

Hello people, it’s been a while since I have posted projects on this website. This semester was really busy, I didn’t have time to much else, but soon I will have my winter holiday (Here in south our summer holiday is from December to February). Today I am going to show you how to build a simple temperature sensor using one LM35 Precision Temperature Sensor and Arduino, so you can hookup on your future projects. The circuit will send serial information about the temperature so you can use on your computer, change the code as you will. I’m planning to build a temperature sensor with max/min + clock + LCD, and when I get it done, I will post here. Parts: Arduino (You can use other microcontroller, but then you will need to change the code). LM35 Precision Centigrade Temperature Sensor, you can get from any electronic store. Here is the DATA SHEET. BreadBoard Assembling: This is a quick and simple step. Just connect the 5V output from arduino to the 1st pin of the sensor, ground the 3rd...

Transistor Water Sensor Alarm

This water sensor alarm circuit diagram is designed using common electronic components. Thewater sensor alarm circuit may operate an active buzzer, to make a sound when is reached a certain level of water. Transistor Water Sensor Alarm Circuit Diagram Because water sensor and control circuit for buzzer are located on the same printed circuit board, indicator, together with 9 V battery and buzzer can be mounted in a compact case. When water reaches the sensor, the base of T1 is connected to the positive supply terminal. Therefore, T1 and T2 are open, so that buzzer BZ1, will be activated. Sensitivity reduction of the circuit can be done by increasing the value of R2.
