Schematic 10 Way Electronic Switch

This is a 10 way electronic latching switch using just two switches. Each output can be latched on and off independently. 10 Way Electronic Switch Circuit Diagram Notes The schematic is shown above, and two switches S1 and S2 are used to control the outputs. The main work is done by U2 a CMOS4017 decade counter divider IC. At switch on, C1 is quickly charged by R4 and a brief reset pulse is applied to to the reset pins of both U1 and U2. This results in U1, a 7 segment display display driver and decade counter showing "zero" on the 7 segment display and pin 3 (which is the output zero) of the 4017 becoming high. Each time S1 is pressed the clock input of U2 is incremented, by one count and the display and 4017 will cycle through all 10 outputs. A separate reset switch is not provided as the display reads the currently selected output. When the 4017 is on a particular output, for example zero, then the controlled circuit can be turned on or off using switch S2. To latch the ou...

Electronic Low volts Alarm Circuit Diagram

This is the simple Electronic Low-volts Alarm Circuit Diagram. This inexpensive dc supply-voltage monitor sounds a warning when the voltage falls below a preset value. It is ideal for monitoring rechargeable batteries since it draws only a few microamperes when not sounding.   Electronic Low-volts Alarm Circuit Diagram The voltage at which the alarm sounds is determined by the zener diode. When the voltage falls below the zener voltage, the alarm sounds. The alarm tone is determined by the RC time constant of the 39 k resistor and 0.01 mf capacitor.

Build a Simple Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram

Build a Simple Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram . This is a Build a Simple Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram . The digital lock shown below uses 4 common logic ICs to allow controlling a relay by entering a 4 digit number on a keypad. The first 4 outputs from the CD4017 decade counter (pins 3,2,4,7) are gated together with 4 digits from a keypad so that as the keys are depressed in the correct order, the counter will advance. Simple Digital Electronic Lock Circuit Diagram As each correct key is pressed, a low level appears at the output of the dual NAND gate producing a high level at the output of the 8 input NAND at pin 13. The momentary high level from pin 13 activates a one shot circuit which applies an approximate 80 millisecond positive going pulse to the clock line (pin 14) of the decade counter which advances it one count on the rising edge. A second monostable, one shot circuit is used to generate an approximate 40 millisecond positive going pulse which is applied...

Electronic Torricelli Barometer

Although it does not have the same charm as real mercury barometers with long glass tubes on pieces of carved and polished wood, the Torricelli barometer discussed here is a functional equivalent and electronic replica of the Torricelli barometer. Actually, rather than displaying the atmospheric pressure on the traditional digital displays, we preferred to reproduce the general look of this respected predecessor of electronic barometers. The mercury tube is, of course, replaced by a simple LED scale which, if not as beautiful, is still less toxic for the environment in case of breakage. As indicated on the drawing, the pressure sensor utilized is a Motorola MPX2200AP. This circuit is adapted for measuring absolute pressure and has a range well suited for atmospheric pressure. Without entering too deep into the technical details, such sensors deliver an output of voltage proportional not only to the measured pressure but, unfortunately, to their supply voltage as well. Hence they must b...

Digital Electronic Thermometer Circuit Diagram

Build a Electronic Thermometer Circuit Diagram. A thermometer thermos , meaning "hot" and  metron, "measure") is a device that measures temperature or temperature gradient using a variety of different principles. A thermometer has two important elements: the temperature sensor in which some physical change occurs with temperature, plus some means of converting this physical change into a numerical value.  An inexpensive electronic thermometer is capable of measuring temperatures over a range of from -30°F to +120°F. A diode-connected 2N3904 transistor used as the temperature sensor forms a voltage divider with Rl. As temperature increases, the voltage drop across the transistor changes by approximately -1.166 millivolts-per°F. As a result, the current at pin 3 of IC1, a 741 op amp with a gain of 5, decreases as the temperature measured by the sensor increases. A second 741 op amp, IC2 is configured as an inverting amplifier.  Electronic Thermometer Circuit Diagra...

Simple Electronic Data Circuit with LEDs

This is a given electronic circuit with LEDs , to roll the dice just push the button. The electronics also ensures that no one can try to improve their lot by messing with the data. The key component of the data is a digital counter, an IC 4060 (IC1). This IC has a phase oscillator integrated so that only two resistors (R7, R8) and one capacitor (C7) is required to generate a clock.   Electronic Data Circuit with LEDs The clock signal is divided, and the division is called 'CT' in the design of IC symbol. For example, the output signal CT3 (pin 7) is a square wave with a frequency equal to the clock frequency divided by 23 (8). The clock signal is divided by 24 (16) in the outlet CT4 for 25 (32) CT5 output, and so on. This means that the output signals form a binary number.

Excellent Example of Electronic Evolution

No one had a clue during the early days of television the incredible impact that this device would have over people and their daily lives nearly a century later. I can hardly believe the difference between the television offerings of my childhood and the vast number of quality shows, channels, and information that is available by simply turning on the television. In addition to that, the quality of sound that can be achieved through the simple act of adding a receiver and surround sound speakers to your television is day and night when comparing before and after. I do not think for one second anyone could have possibly anticipated the global impact that televisions have introduced. Add to that the entertainment value and the fact that we are now using our televisions for much more than simply watching and you have opened up a whole new world of entertainment. Surround sound not only works wonders with movies and (some) television shows but is also an excellent enhancement for video gam...

Tutorial A Small Digital Electronic Project

Small projects of digital electronics are an affordable option for students, teachers and parents as they do not require expensive laboratory and fully stocked. Many young people want to learn about digital electronics and build their own devices as well as work with the parts of a computer and analyze how the circuits of the digital world work, but can not do in their classrooms or at home because it is too expensive. There are several small projects that enable young people to practice the skills necessary to enter college skills, although they are more easily and used parts are readily available. Most students now have mobile phones, thus making this type of project will be exciting for them. Once the project is completed, you can do a treasure h...

Electronic Project 500W Low cost 12V to 220V inverter

This Electronic Inverter Project low-cost and very simple build 500W low-cost 12V to 220V inverter circuit project. Using this circuit you can convert the 12V dc in to the 220V Ac. In this circuit 4047 is use to generate the square wave of 50hz and amplify the current and then amplify the voltage by using the step transformer. 12V to 220V inverter Circuit Diagram: How to calculate transformer rating: The basic formula is P=VI and between input output of the transformer we have Power input = Power output For example if we want a 220W output at 220V then we need 1A at the output. Then at the input we must have at least 18.3V at 12V because: 12V*18.3 = 220v*1 So you have to wind the step up transformer 12v to 220v but input winding must be capable to bear 20A.
