Solar Panel Based Charger And Small LED Lamp

Description You can save on your electricity bills by switching to alternative sources of power. The photovoltaic module or solar panel described here is capable of delivering a power of 5 watts. At full sunlight, the solar panel outputs 16.5V. It can deliver a current of 300-350 mA. Using it you can charge three types of batteries: lead acid, Ni-Cd and Li-ion. The lead-acid batteries are commonly used in emergency lamps and UPS. The working of the circuit is simple. The output of the solar panel is fed via diode 1N5402 (D1), which acts as a polarity guard and protects the solar panel. An ammeter is connected in series between diode D1 and fuse to measure the current flowing during charging of the batteries. As shown in Fig. 1, we have used an analogue multimeter in 500mA range. Diode D2 is used for protection against reverse polarity in case of wrong connection of the lead-acid battery. Charger circuit diagram: When you connect wrong polarity, the fuse will blow up. How to Make a LED Circuit with Timer 555

This circuit LED reproduces the first LED sequence at this time used by FISA on behalf of Formula single racing. It may perhaps be alive used with slot car sets (such for example HO shin up AFX/Life Like/Tyco sets) or else means of communication controlled cars. IC1, a 555 timer IC, is used as a watch pulse generator. Its output is fed via NAND gates IC2a and IC2c to IC3, a 4024 binary counter. IC2b inverts the O4 output of 4024 binary counter IC3. originally, IC3 is reset and all its outputs are low, together with O4, which causes IC2b to present-day a rational climax to the pin 8 input of IC2c which after that passes pulses from the 555 timer circuit to the clock input of the 4024. IC3 then begins together with. LED Circuit with Timer 555 Circuit Diagram Following the count has reached binary 1111, the subsequently pulse sends the O4 output of IC3 high, which disables IC2c and IC3 stops with. The four used outputs of IC3 are connected to a resistor ‘ladder’ which acts to the same deg...

Build a 10 Output LED Sequencer Circuit Diagram

This is a simple 10 Output LED Sequencer Circuit Diagram. This is a 10 output LED sequencer . After the last LED is illuminated, the circuit is reset. This circuit is build around readily available, low cost 10 Output LED Sequencer Circuit Diagram   Component a 555 and decade counter CD4O1 7. The timer IC NE555 is wired as an astable multivibrator that produces 6Hz clock at its output pin 3. The 4017 is a CMOS decade counter with 10 outputs. Inputs include a CLOCK (Pin 1 4), a RESET (Pin 15), and a CLOCK INHIBIT (Pin 13). The clock input connects to a Schmitt trigger for pulse shaping and allows slow clock rise and fall times (not needed in our case).  The counter advances one output at the rising edge of the clock signal if the CLOCK INHIBIT line is low. A high RESET signal resets the counter to the zero output. The circuit may be configured for counts less than 10 by connecting RESET to an output pin (one after the desired count). Thus, a five stage sequencer can be made by ...

Use Dual LED With Logic Probe Yields Circuit Diagram

This is the simple Logic probe yields three discrete states circuit diagram .The circuit uses a dual LED. When power is applied to the probe throughthe power leads, and the input is touched to a low level or ground, Ql is cut off. This will cause Q2 to conduct since the base is positive with respect to the emitter. With Ql cut off and Q2 conducting, the green diode of the dual LED will be forward biased, yielding a green output.   Logic Probe Yields Circuit Diagram   Touching the probe tip to a high level will cause Ql and Q2 to complement, and the red diode will be forward biased, yielding a red output from the LED An alternating signal will cause alternating conduction of the red and green diodes and will yield an indication approximately amber. In this manner, both static and dynamic signals can be traced with the logic probe.

Simple Remote Solar LED light

Introduction I created this circuit in an attempt to make the simplest possible solar powered project. It would make for an excellent science fair project, and would also serve as a good introduction to solar powered circuitry. It may also have some practical uses, such as shedding some light into a dark part of your house. The idea is simple, the solar panel converts sunlight into a trickle of electricity. The electricity is used to run a white LED. Specifications Operating Voltage: 3.7V DC Solar Current: 25ma max. LED Lamp Operating Current: 10-25ma. Theory The remote solar powered LED light takes advantage of the current limited nature of solar photovoltaic cells. If light shines on the solar array, current will flow through the circuit. For a typical size of solar cell, there is a maximum current that can be produced. The maximum solar cell current is simply matched to a value of current that the LED can handle. If there is enough light to raise the solar panel's voltage ab...

LED Photo sensor Circuit Diagram

LED Photo sensor Circuit Diagram. It is not always necessary to use special photoresistors or phototransistors to make light-sensitive switches. Although it is not well known, normal visible-light and infrared LEDs will also work. A voltage that depends on the intensity of the natural or artificial illumination falling on the LED can be taken from the anode of the LED. This behaviour can be easily verified by connecting a DVM or oscilloscope directly to the two leads of the LED. LED Photo sensor Circuit Diagram: LED Photosensor Circuit Diagram Since the load on the photoelectric potential should be kept as small as possible, a JFET is used here as a buffer. The type used is not critical; similar transistors should work equally well. The buffered voltage is fed to the inverting input of comparator IC1. The threshold voltage can be adjusted to meet the desires of the user by means of the potentiometer. A pull-up resistor is connected to the com-parator output, since the LM393 has an open...

Sharing Assembly Code for Led Cube 8x8x8 using 8051 Micro controller

Hi all, today I'll share you the full source code of Led Cube 8x8x8 project . In this project, I'll write Assembly code on an 8051 MCU or 89c52 microcontroller. Because the source code is completely in asm, they're very suitable for MCUs whose memory is limited. Below is the video for demonstrating many interesting effects of the 8x8x8 Led Cube. Video Demo 8x8x8 Led Cube Circuit Diagram (Proteus) to download source code: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ajg20l3tedjrdwa/cube_8x8x8.rar Create your own 8x8x8 LED Cube 3-dimensional display! We believe this Instructable is the most comprehensive step-by-step guide to build an 8x8x8 LED Cube ever published on the intertubes. It will teach you everything from theory of operation, how to build the cube, to the inner workings of the software. BRIGHT FLASH FROM FLAT BATTERY 3v WHITE LED FLASHER

BRIGHT FLASH FROM FLAT BATTERY This circuit can flash a white LED, on a provide from 2v to 6v and turn out a really bright flash. The circuit takes regarding 2mA and recent cells are often used. the 2 100u electros in parallel produce a much better flash when the availability is 6v. 3v WHITE LED FLASHER This will flash a white LED, on 3v provide and turn out a really bright flash. The circuit produces a voltage on top of 5v if the LED isn't in circuit however the LED limits the voltage to its characteristic voltage of three.2v to 3.6v.   The circuit takes regarding 2mA an is really a voltage-doubler (voltage incrementer) arrangement. Note the 10k charges the 100u. It doesn't illuminate the LED because the 100u is charging and also the voltage across it's invariably less than 3v. When the 2 transistors conduct, the collector of the BC557 rises to rail voltage and pulls the 100u HIGH. The negative of the 100u effectively sits just under the positive rail and also the positive...

Simple LED Voltmeter

Four µ741 op-amps are used here to measure the voltage ranging from 3V to 12V DC. The voltage measured is displayed on eight LED s. The inverting inputs (pin 2) of IC1 through IC4 are supplied with regulated 12V DC through voltage dividers R1 through R4. So the inverting input of each op-amp forms the reference voltage. The non-inverting inputs (pin 3) of the op-amps are tied together and connected to the input terminals. The voltage to be meaured is fed to these input terminals. When the input voltage exceeds the reference voltage of any of the op-amps, its output goes high, making the corresponding LED s to glow. This circuit is designed to measure 3V, 6V, 9V and 12V DC. For instance, when the input voltage is 3V, LED 7 and LED8 glow. When the input voltage is 12V, all the LED s glow. Note. You can use a quad device such as LM324 instead of µ741 IC s. LED at 230 V

Small circuit to run a LED on line voltage (English) This little circuit allows to connect a LED to line voltage. A LED can not handle with 230V AC and needs a current which is limted to ca. 15mA. The first issue is simply solved with a diode which eliminates the voltage in reverse-biasing. The current is limited by the combination of the resistor and capacitor. Used at AC capacitors work as frequency dependent resistors. You can simply calculate the capacitive resistance of the capacitor by the following formula: Based on a frequency of 50Hz and a capacity of 220nF you get a reactance of ca. 16kΩ. This is just perfect for a LED . The resistor prevents that the capacitor does not charge that abruptly. Hinweis Attention. This circuit works with life threatening line voltage. All parts of this circuit are connected to the grid! You have to make sure that it is not possible to touch any parts of the circuit at any time. You have to unplug the circuit everytime you want to check it. Part...

Two Led Pilot Light Circuit

Description  This circuit is designed on request and can be useful to those whishing to have, say, a red LED illuminated when an appliance is on and a green LED illuminated when the same appliance is off. Any mains operated appliance can be monitored by this circuit provided a suitable mains switch, capable of withstanding the full load current, is used for SW1.When SW1 is closed, the load and D4 are energized, Q1 is saturated and shorts D3, thus preventing its illumination. Circuit Diagram: Parts: R1 = 27K-1W R2 = 27K-1W R3 = 6.8K D1 = 1N4007 D2 = 1N4007 D3 = Green D4 = Red Led Q1 = BC337 SW1 = SPST Mains Switch Notes: Change R1 and R2 to 15K 1W for 115Vac mains operation. SW1 must be capable of withstanding the appliance's full load current and volage Source- http://www.redcircuits.com/#home

Two LED Strobe Flasher

This little circuit provides a surprisingly spectacular bright strobe flash which is adjustable with P1, the 200K trimmer potentiometer. P1, R1, R2, and C1 provide the flashrate. R1 sets the upper flashrate. The flashrate for the above circuit was measured at 12Vdc. If the supply voltage is steady or regulated, the flashrate is very stable. Capacitor C2 on pin 5 of the IC is to filter off noise when used in motorized vehicles. For battery power it can be eliminated. Resistor R3, 47 Ohm, is there to protect the Leds for burn-out. Depending on your application and power source, increase or decrease the value of R3. Like, for a 9V power source decrease the value to 22-33 ohms or so. For a 15V power sourse increase the value to 680-1000 ohms. Circuit Diagram: The duty-cycle is about perfect at 50% so will give a nice strobe when adjusted with P1 to a fast flash. I experimented with several color Leds and basically they all strobe very bright especially the white ones. Current draw of this ...

Clap activated LED strip

This Instructable shows you how to build a clap activated LED strip. The whole project is based on the Adafruit’s Secret Knock Activated Drawer Lock, where the user can record a secret knock pattern which will open the lock inside the drawer. I thought that I could use this to siwtch an LED strip on and off with a handclap pattern. So let’s begin! [ ]
