USB Function Generator Based on AD9833

One tool that I’ve been missing at my lab at home is function generator. They tend to be a bit expensive, so I haven’t bought one. I thought this might be a good opportunity to try and make one myself. I found a pretty common DDS (direct digital synthesis) chip, called AD9833. Then just strap a USB-enabled AVR micro there and maybe some analog electronics.   This board doesn’t do any of the special analog magic to allow for variable amplitude or offset for the signal. The output is fixed to 0-4v. I’m planning to make another completely analog board for adjusting amplitude and offset. [ ]

Making PC USB LCD controller project

This really a work that so cool if you like modif PC. So this is a USB interface for alphanumeric LCD display like 4 × 20 which can be controlled with LCD Smartie program. USB interface is implemented by using PIC18F2550 microcontroller, Using USB LCD modules. Below is a project of the USB LCD controller. Schematic circuit and PCB design source  | link

USB to phone battery charger circuit

Without any   USB to phone battery charger circuit we can charging phone battery using port on USB computer , but it will quickly damage the phone battery, and the battery will bulge. Because the voltage which was issued on usb is 5 volts , while the average-voltage phone battery 3.5 - 3.7 volts. That's why this USB to phone battery charger circuit is required , this USB to phone battery charger circuit reduce votlage to 3.7 volt usb, but will not reduce currents and  will make a durable phone battery . USB 5V to 12V DC DC Step Up Converter by LT1618

This is a 5V to 12V DC-DC step-up (boost) converter circuitry that is especially ideal for the USB powered applications. First of all a USB port has two current supply modes. Before detecting the connected device, it supplies maximum 100mA to the load. After recognizing the device, it increases the output current up to 500mA. In this circuit, controller (LT1618) also provides two input current modes. 100mA and 500mA input modes can be selected by the user. Output currents are limited due to the increased potential difference at the output. When the demand of the load increases, output voltage will start to decrease. For example, if the circuit operates in the 100 mA input mode, when the load is 35 mA, the output voltage will be kept at 12V. But if the load increases to 50 mA, output voltage will reduce to 8V to maintain the constant 100 mA input current.

Modifying USB OTG Cable Mini USB micro

This is a very simple way to change the standart USB to USB OTG. The Mini or Micro USB to USB does not work if you want to use it for OTG, because 4. pin micro USB plug is not plugged. Connect as shown above.

LabNation SmartScope unique multi platform USB oscilloscope

The SmartScope designed by the young Belgian company LabNation is — to our knowledge — the only oscilloscope that works with all popular operating systems: Windows 7/8, Linux, OS X, iOS (jailbroken) and Android 4.0+. So the software can run on a standard PC or laptop, but also on a tablet or smartphone. The control interface is specifically designed to operate with touch-screen or mouse and is equipped with various software decoders (such as I2C and SPI) for decoding digital signals. The Smart Scope hardware consists of a small metal housing (for good protection) with the front two full BNC connectors for analog inputs, and at the rear a 16-pin header which has 8 digital inputs for the logic analyzer. Four digital outputs and an output for the built-in arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) are available. The sampling frequency of the analog and digital inputs is 100 Msamples/s, the maximum data rate of the AWG is 50 Msamples/s. [ ]

Properties and USB Capability

Easily connected to the computer because it does not need to open the computer cover. Uniform shape USB connector, there are only two forms of type socket. Hot-plugable - that USB devices can be connected when the computer is on Plug and Play - USB equipment that is easy to use, when connected to a computer, the computer will recognize the pick up program (driver) in accordance with the equipment. Equipment that requires little resources, can take resources from the USB port. Resources off equipment when not in use. High-speed data transfer, can reach 12Mbps. One USB port can be connected with 127 tools. USB Cable   Has a fault monitoring and data transmission will be repeated to ensure reliability of data.

Install Windows XP Using USB Flash Drive

Removable flash memory sticks are pretty much one of the most handy little pieces of technology to come along in the last couple of years. They come in various shapes and their storage size can range from a measly 128 MB to a whopping 32 GB. So I thought, with the speed of flash drives today, it could be possible to install Windows XP onto those PCs in a much faster time than with optical media (CD/DVD). Plus with all the motherboards I use, I always make sure that the motherboards support booting from USB as it’s a very handy feature. Requirements: A copy of Windows XP Home or XP Professional. USB memory stick (2 GB recommended - 1 GB minimum) A motherboard that is capable of booting from a USB drive (check your motherboard manual if not sure). Most computers have this option.
