Shadow Detector Alarm Circuit Diagram

This is also known as Sun up alarm, in this circuit you can set the LDR’s sensitivity by 100k potentiometer, you can set it with any lamp around your room (tube light, bulb, LED etc) by varrying the 100k potentiometer. We can also control the buzzer time by 1M potentiometer    You can Enhance this project and set the sensitivity of the LDR with a lazer light and keep it on the way of any door circuit at one side and lazer at other side of the door and a then you can make this project to buzz as soon as some one enters in a room  I personally set this project in my room with sensitivity of tube light and whenever i came in and turn my room’s tube light on rookieelectronics Parts Required: 100k & 1M potentiometers  10k, 1Mx(3), 47k 0.1mF, 0.01mF & 10mF LDR BC337 transistor Beeper/Buzzer 9v Battery Supply     Circuit Diagram:

Ionization Smoke Detector Using A5367

A very simple Ionization Smoke Detector with Interconnect and Timer alarm circuit can be constructed using the A5367 low-current, CMOS circuit that provides all of the required features for an ionization-type smoke detector. A very nice thing at this ionization smoke detector circuit CMOS ic manufactured by Allegro MicroSystems is the interconnection features , which allows as many as 125 units to be interconnected so that if any unit senses smoke all units will sound their alarm. In addition, special features are incorporated to facilitate alignment and test of the finished smoke detector. This detector needs to be powered by a 9 volts DC power supply (or a 9 volts battery ) .Circuit require few external components and is very easy to be configured . As you can see in this diagram , the sound alarm is “produced “ by an piezoelectric element . Motor Turn Stall Detector Circuit Diagram

In single phase AC induction motors, often used in fridges and washing machines, a start winding is used during the starting phase. When the motor has reached a certain speed, this winding is turned off again. The start winding is slightly out of phase to the run winding. The motor will only start turning when the current through this winding is out of phase to that of the run winding. The phase difference is normally provided by placing a capacitor of several µF in series with the start winding. When the motor reaches a minimum speed, a centrifugal switch turns off the start winding.  The circuit diagram doesn’t show a centrifugal switch; instead it has a triac that is turned on during the staring phase. For clarity, the series capacitor isn’t shown in the diagram. Once the motor turns it will continue to do so as long as it isn’t loaded too much. When it has to drive too heavy a load it will almost certainly stall. A large current starts to flow (as the motor no longer generates ...

Temperature Detector For Fan Controller

The fan controller circuit for the Titan 2000 and other AF heavy-duty power amplifiers, has an output that sets a voltage if the fan controller reaches the end of its range. Since the controller responds to temperature, this signal is seen by the amplifier protection circuitry as an over temperature indication. The disadvantage of this output is that the maximum voltage for the fans is not constant, but depends on the load (number of fans, defective fans) and the mains voltage. This variation is caused by the fact that the supply voltage for the output stage is taken directly from the filtered transformer voltage. If the fans should fail, for example, the maximum temperature limit would lie at a considerably higher level than the desired value. The accompanying circuit, which compares the magnitude of the fan voltage to a fixed reference value, has been developed to allow the maximum temperature to be reliably detected. This circuit is tailored for 12-V fans. The reference voltage is ge...

Static Detector Negative Ion Detector

A sensitive detector for static electricity based around a single Field Effect Transistor It can also be used to detect the presence of negative ions, or test a negative ion generator. This circuit utilizes the extra high input impedance of a FET, and also demonstrates the gate terminals sensitivity to changes in voltage. The gate terminal here is left open circuit, connected only to the "probe". The probe is just a few inches of bare copper wire. With no fixed DC biasing, the gate terminal will respond to micro changes in voltage. This causes a current change in the drain circuit and the meter will indicate a charge or "field strength". Static Detector Negative Ion Detector Circuit diagram It is important not to make this circuit on veroboard or PCB material as this will reduce the effective gate impedance. Instead use an "open" construction technique soldering each component together. The probe should not be touched directly and is best insulated in a pla...

Simple Detector Wireless Electricity Circuit Diagram

This is a Simple Detector Wireless Electricity Circuit Diagram . This is more of those circuits quite simple, but very useful, especially in the electrical area. This detector is an electric probe, which can also be used to detect the presence of high voltage on the wires and also as a touch switch, then the LED may be replaced with a relay to connect and disconnect a device (but only when something is detected).  The circuit is very simple and consists of only three transistors, 3 resistors, 1 LED and a 9V battery. He has a high gain by being in Darlington transistors, and the probe (copper strip) is a small piece of copper or a wire.  Detector Wireless Electricity Circuit Diagram

Intruder Detector Using Laser Torch

Here is a simple, low-cost intruder detector that uses an invisible laser beam to detect the intruder. The laser beam is produced using a 3V DC or 4.5V DC laser pointer or torch that is available in the market. The 3V DC or 4.5V DC power supply for the laser transmitter can also be given using a bridger ectifier or full-wave rectifier. Fig. 1 shows the block diagram of the complete unit comprising the transmitter and receiver sections. The laser beam from the transmitter after reflection from various mirrors (M1 through M6, as shown in Fig. 1) is made to fall on the photodetector in the receiver circuit. Fig. 1: Block diagram of intruder detector using laser torch Once the laser beam is positioned, the receiver circuit is powered by closing switch S. An alarm unit operating on 230V AC is connected to the relay RL in the receiver circuit. When an intruder interrupts the path of the beam or switches off the laser torch, the alarm unit becomes activated. The alarm unit remains activated u...

Snail Mail Detector Circuit Diagram

Since his letter-box is outdoors  and quite some way from the  house, the author was looking  for a simple means of knowing if  the postman had been without  having to go outside (contrary  to popular belief, the weather  isn’t always fine in the South of  France). Circuits for this kind of  ‘remote detection’ come up regularly, but always involve running cables between the letter- box and the detection circuit in  the house. Seeking to avoid running any extra cables, the author  had the idea of using the existing cables going to the doorbell,  conveniently located adjacent to  his letter-box. The letter-box has two doors:  one  on  the  street  side  for  the  postman, and one on the gar-den side for collecting the post.  A  micro switch  is  fitted  to  the  street-side door, to light an indicator in the house showing that  the postman has be...

Simple Electromagnetic Field Detector Schematic

This circuit is sensitive to low frequency electromagnetic radiation and will detect for example hidden wiring or the field that encompasses a transformer. Pickup is by a radial type inductor, used as a probe which responds well to low frequency changing magnetic and electric fields. Ordinary headphones are used to for detection. The field that surrounds a transformer is heard as a 50 or 60Hz buzz. The circuit is below:- Electromagnetic Field Detector Circuit Diagram Notes: I threaded a length of screened cable through an old pen tube and soldered the ends to a radial type can inductor. I used 1mH. The inductor fitted snugly into the pen tube. The opposite end of the cable connects to the input of the op-amp. Any op-amp should work here, possibly better results may be achieved with a low noise FET type such as the LF351. The 2M2 potentiometer acts as a gain control and the output is a pair of headphones. Stereo types can be used if they are wired as mono. I used an 8 ohm type, but the ...

Water Level Controller Detector Circuit Diagram

In most houses, water is first stored in an underground tank (UGT) and from there it is pumped up to the overhead tank (OHT) located on the roof. People generally switch on the pump when their taps go dry and switch off the pump when the overhead tank starts overflowing. This results in the unnecessary wastage and sometimes non-availability of water in the case of emergency.  The simple circuit presented here makes this system automatic, i.e. it switches on the pump when the water level in the overhead tank goes low and switches it off as soon as the water level reaches a pre-determined level. It also prevents ‘dry run’ of the pump in case the level in the underground tank goes below the suction level.    In the figure, the common probes connecting the underground tank and the overhead tank to +9V supply are marked ‘C’. The other probe in underground tank, which is slightly above the ‘dry run’ level, is marked ‘S’. The low-level and high-level probes in the overhead tank ...

Overheat Detector Alarm Switch Circuit Diagram

Description At the heart of this overhead detector (fire alarm) circuit is a precision integrated temperature sensor type LM35 (IC1), which provides an accurately linear and directly proportional output in mV, over the zero to +155 degrees C temperature range. This can be used as part of fire smoke detectors but do not use it as a home fire alarm system. The LM35 develops an output voltage of 10 mV/K change in measured temperature. Designed to draw a minimal current of its own, the LM35 has very low self heating in still air.  Here the output of the LM35 is applied to the non-inverting input of a comparator wired around a CA3130 opamp (IC2). A voltage divider network R3-P1 sets the threshold voltage, at the inverting input of the opamp. The threshold voltage determines the adjustable temperature trip level at which the circuit is activated. When the measured temperature exceeds the user-defined level, the comparator pulls its output High to approx. 2.2 V causing transistor T1 to b...
